A.S.E. DOUKAS TEAM BRIEF HANDBALL HISTORY |
Champion and Cup holder 1998 in Greece!
The Doukas School Athletic Club, better known as A.S.E.D, was founded in 1979, when a group of students started training in handball, a sport newly introduced to Greece at that time. Since then, A.S.E.D has expanded beyond all expectations to include basketball, track and field, gymnastics, karate, mini football and badminton. Some of our 600 active athletes enjoy national and international recognition. Niki Bakogianni, for one, won the silver medal in the Women's High Jump in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
